Hormonal Bloodwork
Blood work can tell us a lot about what is going inside your body, and can give us clues as to what may be causing infertility. These results can help us create the best treatment plan for you.
Female Bloodwork
As part of the initial infertility evaluation, female patients will undergo hormonal blood tests, including:
- AMH – Anti-Mullerian Hormone
- TSH – Thyroid Stimulating Hormone
- Prolactin
- FSH – Follicle Stimulating Hormone
- LH – Luteinizing Hormone
- Estradiol (day 2-5 of menstrual cycle)
Male Bloodwork
Depending on specific medical history and findings, male partners may be required to complete hormonal blood tests, including:
- TSH – Thyroid Stimulating Hormone
- FSH – Follicle Stimulating Hormone
- LH – Luteinizing Hormone
- Testosterone
- Prolactin
