Ultrasound and Sonohysterogram

Ultrasound and Sonohysterogram

As part of the initial infertility evaluation of the female partner, a pelvic ultrasound is usually performed at the beginning of the menstrual cycle (day 2 - 5) to appreciate the ovarian antral follicle count, the uterus anatomy and any other pelvic organ findings.

Additionally, a sonohysterogram which helps evaluate the shape and any pathology of the uterine cavity as well as the patency of the Fallopian tubes may be required. The sonohysterogram is usually performed between day 7 and day 11 of the menstrual cycle.

We also offer obstetrical ultrasound (see Prenatal Care) and Cycle Monitoring ultrasounds.
